Hartlepool Sixth Form College

Elite Athlete Scholarship Programme

The scholarship has been designed to provide students with the best possible chance of integrating a first class education alongside a successful sporting career.

Elite Scholarship

Our Elite Scholarship has been introduced to help develop our high level athletes. We are a TASS (Talented Athlete Support Scheme) Accredited College as we offer our athletes the support to thrive both as athletes and as students. We have our Elite Athlete Scholarship and we also have our TASS Athlete programme for athletes that represent at a national and international level.

The Elite Scholarship now offers support across a wide range of areas:

• Strength and conditioning support with our partner CrossFit Hartlepool • Sports Nutrition which includes 1 to 1 assistance and external support from DPP Nutrition • Sport Psychology Support • Performance analysis support • One-to-one sessions with our onsite sports scientist • Onsite unlimited physiotherapy • Academy kit bundle supplied from Total Sports NE and Nike

To access Elite Scholarship you must be playing or competing at regional, national or international level or attached to a professional club. For each sport the entry requirements are slightly different depending on the level structure within.

The TASS dual career accreditation is a Sport England-backed scheme that focuses on ensuring that every talented athlete is supported to achieve both their academic and sporting goals.
Our dual career support structure and academic flexibility policies will be central to help our student athletes maximise their potential.
Each student athlete will be assigned their own TASS Dual Career Co-ordinator and be able to access workshops throughout the year which focus on the following themes: • Strength and Conditioning • Nutrition • Lifestyle • Psychology

Further information on the TASS dual career can also be found by clicking here.

To access the TASS Athlete programme you must be apply to our Dual Career Coordinator, Ian Hewitt via email: ian.hewitt@hpoolsfc.ac.uk.
