When can I enrol?
The main enrolment days for new students are from Thursday 23 August to Wednesday 29 August 2018.
How long will my enrolment take?
It will take approximately an hour.
What do I need to bring to enrolment?
- ID - for example, passport or birth certificate
- Exam certificates/results
What do I get when I enrol?
You will be officially enrolled and will have secured a place on your course. You will also be provided with an ID badge, your start date and a timetable.
What time can I enrol?
Every new student is allocated a 15 minute time slot in which to arrive for enrolment. You will find the details of your enrolment slot on the back of your Welcome brochure, which is posted out end of July. Please make sure you arrive promptly. New students will be given a specific enrolment slot during the following sessions:
- Thursday 23 August 2018, 12.00pm – 6.30pm
- Friday 24 August 2018, 9.00am – 4.30pm
- Tuesday 28 August 2018, 9.00am – 4.30pm
- Wednesday 29 August 2018, 9.00 – 4.30pm
What if I need additional support during enrolment?
If you need any specialist support or assistance during your enrolment, for example help to access the building or communication support, please let us know what you require in advance so we can have everything in place for your arrival. Will I have to pay for my course?
If you are 16 to18 years old you do not have to pay for your course. However, you could be provided with opportunities to enhance your learning through additional resources or activities during your course and may be asked to provide a voluntary contribution.
What if I can’t make my enrolment?
It is very important that you attend on your specified date and time. However, if this is not possible, please let us know in advance so we can reschedule your enrolment slot. Contact our regional Admissions team on 0191 511 6260 or email@example.com
What if I don’t get the exam results I need for my course?
Still come to your enrolment session and our friendly staff will be able to advise the courses available to you and help you plan your next step.
What if I’ve changed my mind about what I want to study?
If you have applied and have changed your mind, still come to your enrolment session and we can discuss your change of course and help you transfer your application.
What catering facilities are there?
We have on-site catering facilities, including Costa.
What should I bring on my first day at college?
A pen and paper to make notes, and money for transport/food if you need it.
What other things can I do at college apart from my course?
Our enrichment activities provide you with the opportunity to try something new, take part in a sport, develop a new skill or meet new people. If you have a talent for sport, let us know during your enrolment. We can support you with an elite sports scholarship or you could have the opportunity to join one of our many Sports Development Centres (subject to a successful trial).
