Travel Information for September 2016

Welcome to Hartlepool Sixth Form College

As part of our support for students who travel to the College from outside Hartlepool, we are offering subsidised travel for the academic year, based on your attendance being 95% or above. If your attendance falls below the college target of 95% you will receive a percentage of the amount. This will be paid into a nominated bank account every half term.

Assisted Travel (this is available to students outside of Hartlepool)

Each eligible student will receive a subsidy for a year on a half termly basis and make their own travel arrangements e.g. the local bus service. The College provides a free shuttle bus from and to the town centre. Students must complete an assisted travel application form in order to receive this allowance. Please hand completed forms into reception.

The College provides a free shuttle bus from the town centre (opposite Loons) from 7.50am to 8.50am each College day. The return journeys will be at the end of each College day.

In addition to subsidised travel, students may be eligible for bursary.

Allocated Buses (this is available to students in the areas listed below)

You can book a place on one of our free buses for the academic year. This will be a commitment for the full academic year. Buses are available from the following areas:

  • Bus 1 – Trimdon Villages, Fishburn, Sedgefield and Wynyard
  • Bus 2 – Elwick, Dalton and Hart Village
